Luna's Galaxy

Luna is so beautiful. As she’s grown and developed she’s become such a loving and adorable cat.

I enjoy coming home to her bounding towards me joyfully, greeting me as i enter the house. I recently went away for two nights (which is the longest I’ve been away from her for) and the night I got home she was ecstatic! She curled up on me with her paw lying over me and wouldn’t let me out of her sight! :)

Both her and I have been sick this week, meaning that we’ve both been sneezing and have had blocked noses. Unfortunately to get her cold fixed will cost $300 which I can’t afford right now. I’m tempted to ask people if they want to sponsor her.. At the moment though I’ve put her on some homoeopathic remedies to try to make her feel better. Fingers crossed. 

Luna was fixed and microchipped on the 18th of June (her 7 month birthday) and I’m happy to say she has fully recovered from that!.

So on Friday the 18th of May, Luna turned 6 months old. To celebrate we had our first fire of the year. As I expected, Luna ran straight up to it and almost face planted into the hot glass plate. .. Silly kitty.

I am so proud to say that I have this sweet little girl in my life. She has made me laugh and smile so much - Which has helped me in more ways than she would ever know.. Truth is I really need a constant in my life and Luna has played that role so perfectly ever since I got her.

Things to appreciate and remember that happened before this landmark:
Luna’s first kill was a worm! Second kill was a pencil saving.. 
Luna’s first fire.
She jumped through the cat door for the first time recently.
We litter trained her and moved her food out of my room.. showing that she really is growing up.


Every day I look at Luna I think so myself- could anything get more perfect than this?

I have enjoyed the past 12 weeks more than you will ever know. Even though you frustrate me sometimes with your constant willingness to bite me and my family, I know you’re only teething and you will learn someday :)

You make me so happy. When I’m feeling alone (which is often), you never cease to come up and smooch me to make me smile again. And although our relationship at the moment is a mother/daughter one, I know that when you get older we will turn into best friends.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a best friend.. I am enjoying every moment of having you around.

I know I’m not really around a lot because of work and university, and I truly regret not watching half of your kittenhood but life is like that sometimes.

I love watching you explore and grow and develop. Your fur is growing longer and darker by the day which is magnificent to watch. And your eyes forever shine a brilliant deep blue that make me melt.

I love you a lot, Luna. You really are my little moon..  <3
